It’s going to be bigger, it’s going to be better and we need your help!

Volunteering at the Legal & General Korfball Grand Finals at the Copper Box Arena in London is a great way to experience the climax of the England Korfball season. If you would like to apply to volunteer at the Legal & General Korfball Finals 2019 and be part of our awesome team, please complete the application form at the bottom of this page.

The Grand Finals takes place on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd June 2019 at the Copper Box Arena in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London. It’s going to be bigger, it’s going to be better than anything we’ve put on before, but we can’t do any of it without our fantastic volunteers!

We have a range of volunteering opportunities available. Below is a list of some of the roles that we are looking to fill:

Court Team

Member of the court team are responsible for everything that happens on and around the pitch in the arena – from making sure the right sized posts are in place for the different matches to making sure the pitch side advertising is looking perfect for the TV cameras. You’ll be supported throughout by an experienced court manager. We have an action packed and busy schedule so it’s really important that everything runs smoothly. It’s a great opportunity for anyone interested in getting hands-on experience with real, on the ground responsibility at a large sports event.

Ticketing Team

The ticketing team is one of the most important roles – You will likely be the first person our guests will see at the Legal & General Korfball Finals once they arrive at the Copper Box Arena. Tickets will be scanned and security searches will be carried out by members of our professional security team. It can be busy at times, but it’s also great fun meeting and greeting people as they arrive for an awesome day of Korfball at the #BoxThatRocks!

Production Support Team

The Production Support team ensures everything runs smoothly. You’ll be assisting in a range of activities which makes it perfect if you are looking to gain first hand experience working at a sporting event within an Olympic venue. We have a number of opportunities helping one of the tech crews (fiming, audio visual, commentary etc.)

We would love you to volunteer for the whole weekend – that would be awesome! But understand that this isn’t always possible. As a minimum we would ask you to complete a six hour session (of course you can volunteer for longer!). The length of the sessions depends on how many volunteers we get so we might be able to reduce the sessions.

In return, you will have a fantastic time, get free entry to the venue and a lunch package.

Bringing your family

You’re more than welcome to bring your children/ partner (assuming they do not want to, or aren’t able to volunteer) to the Legal & General Korfball Finals, however they must buy a ticket. You must arrange suitable child care for children under 16 while you are volunteering.
