Trojans crowned champions 2014/15

 

Trojans Korfball Club were crowned England Korfball Premier League champions for the eighth consecutive season after securing a 14-10 win over BEC in the EKL Premier Playoff final on Sunday (3rd May).

 

Bec finished the regular season in first place on 26 points with just one defeat to Trojans. Trojans finished in 2nd place with two defeats against Bec and Kingfisher.

 

Trojans secured their place in the final with a 22-11 victory in the semi-final against KV from Kent.

 

Goals were hard to come by in the final with both defences in top form. At half-time Trojans were ahead 8-3.

 

Bec won the second half 6-7.

 

Trojans captain David Brooks top scored in the match with five goals all from open play.
