Premier League – Changes to Rules

The Competition Sub Committee has decided that in the 2015/16 England Korfball Premier League and play-offs, substitutes may return to the game and a maximum of 8 changes will be allowed.

In previous seasons competition rules allowed a maximum of four changes, and once a player had been substituted they could not return to the match.

The substitutions can be made when play is stopped. There are no other restrictions when a substitution can be made.

The change brings England’s top league inline with the rules used in official IKF competitions such as the European Championships, World Championships and World Games.

The new rule will provide coaches with more opportunities to make tactical changes. What do you think of the new rules? Join the conversation on social media with the hashtag #korfball.
