New England U15 Head Coach and Assistant Coach appointed

England Korfball has appointed Joe Stirling as the new England U15s national head coach and Rob Bloomer as the new U15s assistant coach.

Both Stirling and Bloomer will take on the roles with immediate effect.

Speaking about his appointment as head coach Stirling said: “It’s an exciting opportunity – we are both really looking forward to working with some very talented young players”

“I was delighted to see so many players from across the country in attendance at the youth trials earlier this month. I was impressed with the standard on show. I’m keen to get started and help develop our youth players.

Stirling joins England Korfball after obtaining his IKF Level 3 coaching award in August-2014.

The 27-year-old is currently the head coach at Premier League side Norwich Knights.

In recent times Stirling has also coached the Great Britain student team at the inaugural FISU university World Cup in April 2015 and has also coached Norfolk’s senior regional team to two consecutive gold medals at the England Korfball Inter-Areas.

Stirling, 27, has been the coach of Premier League side Norwich Knights for the last three years leading them to a top four finish in recent seasons.
