England Korfball is seeking new Board Members with an Equality and Diversity and/or Safeguarding brief

England Korfball is seeking new members for its Board to support the growth of this exciting team sport. The board wants people of high quality with experience/expertise in Equality and Diversity and/or Safeguarding to add to the existing committed volunteers and help form and influence the strategic direction of the organisation. Korfball is an attractive, fast moving, team sport played by men and women together extensively in Europe and the far-east.

England Korfball’s mission is:

‘to boldly and creatively enable a growing korfball community to play, volunteer, enjoy and promote korfball’.

Our key areas of work are growing the number of adults and young people playing regularly in teams, attracting investment into the sport and promoting the gender equality that lies at the heart of korfball.

Are you interested in sport, can think and act strategically and bring expertise from a sport or other professional context in equality and diversity and/or safeguarding?

Then we’d love to hear from you.

These are voluntary positions with the remit to help form and influence the strategic direction of the organisation. We particularly encourage and welcome applications from women and from ethnic minorities.

Further information about the role, including the key competencies, skills and experience the Board is looking for, can be found here.

To apply, complete a Volunteer Application Form and forward to Hannah Winsbury, National Development Officer, via email.

For an informal discussion of the post, please contact Ellen Pearce, England Korfball Chair, via email.

Please note the closing date for applications is 5:00pm on Monday 10th September.
