Irwin appointed as new Under-14 Assistant Coach

Ean Irwin has been appointed by England Korfball as the new Assistant Coach of the England Under-14 team.

The appointment of Irwin completes the management team of the Under-14 squad. Irwin joins coach Sytze Bijker and newly appointed Team Manager Julie Dawes.

Irwin said: “I’m delighted to be appointed as the new assistant coach of the U14s. I’m looking forward to working with the korfball stars of the future, Sytze and the wider International setup.

“Sytze and I have different styles of play and our strengths combined will give an overall coaching style that will improve, motivate and make the experience enjoyable.

Irwin’s playing career began at Mitcham Korfball Club before moving to Nomads Korfball Club. Irwin continues to represent Nomad’s first team in the top league in English Korfball. In recent years Irwin has been involved coaching the youth teams at Nomads.
