England Head Coach to deliver coaching sessions for the University of Birmingham

England Korfball national head coach Dave Buckland will this Saturday (10 October) deliver a number of coaching sessions for the University of Birmingham korfball club.

Speaking ahead of the coaching sessions “There are so many people playing korfball at University now. It’s important that England Korfball help to develop the level – I’m really looking forward to Saturday – there’s a lot of interest!”

The University of Birmingham Korfball club said “We’re very excited to be welcoming England Seniors International Coach Dave Buckland up to Birmingham this Saturday to deliver some sessions to our squad! A lot of excited players looking forward to what is bound to be a fantastic session”

England Korfball recognise the importance of university korfball – it’s been a major growth area for the sport in recent years. England Korfball will continue to work with the British Student Korfball Association to increase participation in the key 16-25 age group.

Last year England Korfball launched the England Korfball Activator Program. The activator programme is designed to establish new university clubs.

The Activator program is designed such that anyone with sufficient motivation and opportunity can set up a korfball club in any HE/FE institution.

Saturday’s coaching sessions take place between 13:00 and 18:00 at the Aston University sports hall.
