The England Korfball Competitions Subcommittee has announced changes to the yellow and red card disciplinary process for the 2018/19 season.

There is no change for yellow cards except that there is a form for referees to use to report a card. This must be sent within one day of the match to discipline@englandkorfball.co.uk.

The big change is that a direct red card triggers a two match ban and a fine unless the card is appealed. The appeal fee is £75 in line with our England Korfball appeal regulations. Appeals must be made within 48 hours of the end of the match and the fee has to be transferred to the EKA at the same time as making the appeal.

Spurious appeals may incur extra punishments. The first ban date is the next match. If there is an appeal, the case should be heard before the first ban date which stands unless the appeal is upheld or the punishment reduced.
