England Korfball are committed to equality

Following the terrible death of George Floyd and the Black Lives Matter movement, England Korfball welcomes and is a co-signatory of the statement released by the Sports and Recreation Alliance this week calling for more to be done to ensure diversity in sport.

We are committed to equality

Korfball is a sport that prides itself on inclusivity. There is no place for racism or any other discrimination in Korfball. We are committed to equality.

Last Autumn, the England Korfball Board prioritised equality and inclusion as a key priority for our sport and advertised for a strategic leader to join the Board with this remit. At our Board meeting last week we confirmed that this was still a key priority and we remain committed to recruiting to this role which had not been filled. We are committed to doing more work on understanding the experiences of our members and ensuring strategies for inclusion are at the heart of our culture.
