Coaching team appointed for IKF U21 World Championships

Following an open recruitment process we are pleased to announce a new coaching team for the IKF under-21 World Korfball Championships which will take place in Budapest, Hungary this summer.

Joe Stirling will be the U21 Lead Coach for the World Championships. Joe will be supported by John Denton who is a new appointment to the International coaching team.

Commenting on the appointment England Korfball Chair Ellen Pearce said “We are delighted to be able to combine new talent with existing experience to create the coaching team for the U21s

IKF Level 3 coach Joe Stirling is also the Lead Coach for England U17 squad and Head Coach for England Korfball League side Norwich Knights. John Denton is the Head Coach of London’s Bec Korfball Club and is working towards his England Korfball Level 2 coaching qualification.

An intensive training schedule will begin following the completion of the LFF Grand Finals. To express interest in being considered for the squad please contact Sarah Friday by April 30th.

The IKF U21 World Korfball Championship will take place between 7 – 14 July 2018 in Budapest, Hungary. Twelve countries will compete, with 8 from Europe, 3 from Asia and 1 from the Americas.
