British officials appointed to IKF European Korfball Championship final

On Sunday (21 October) the final of the IKF European Korfball Championships will take place between The Netherlands and Germany.

We’re extremely proud to announce that England Korfball League referee’s Steve Jones and Adam Dibble have been appointed as referee and assistant referee.

Welsh referee Steve Jones, 49, is England Korfball’s most experienced active referee and regularly takes charge of matches in our top league, including the final at the Copper Box Arena in London earlier this year.

Steve Jones was also appointed as the main referee for the World Championship final in 2011 and the Europa Cup final in 2012.

Adam Dibble, 34, in his first major senior appointment has led four matches at the 2018 edition of the IKF European Korfball Championships as main referee as well as a number of assistant referee appointments, including the semi-final yesterday between The Netherlands and Belgium.

Carlos Faria (POR) and Thierry Vangoidsenhoven (BEL) complete the referee team for the Final.

England Korfball’s Steve Wright has also been appointed as chair of the Jury for the final – a fantastic achievement.

Congratulations to Steve, Adam and Steve on your appointments.

The final between The Netherlands and Germany starts at 3pm BST on Sunday, 21 October 2018 in Heerenveen.
