England's U21 squad has won 3rd place and a Bronze medal at the European U21 Korfball Championships 2011. This is a fine achievement as much for the winning as for the style they did it in for most of the tournament.
Every tournament has it's ups and downs but this team started to show that England Internationals are looking stronger with each age group.
After a close match against Belgium, two routings of C-country teams and a disassembly of Portugal, the U21s put in their least impressive performance of the tournament against the Czechs when there was a chance to make a dramatic statement about the position of English Korfball. These games happen though and there was enough in the tank to get them over the line and into the semi finals against the world champions.

England's talented squad have started very strongly in Budapest at the European U21 Korfball Championships. England were pitched against Belgium, Portugal and the Czech Republic as serious rivals along with Poland and Slovakia.

England Under 21s will be travelling out to Budapest, Hungary for the IKF Under 21 European championships on 6th May. Overall 12 teams are participating, with England pooled alongside Belgium, Czech, Portugal, Slovakia and Poland.
