Junior World Cup 2010

A fantastic day for the under 19s saw them start early against the German national side. Buoyed by a strong following in the stands, excellent organisation, powerful running and sharp finishing saw them to a controlled win over the Germans. An even more impressive display was reserved for the final match in the central arena as England's youth displayed their fantastic talent in a mature and dominant performance. Sharp shooting and physical presence saw them convincingly beat the Czechs and claim fifth place.

A tough couple of days for England's youth as they competently dismissed the easier sides in the pool, but lost out on the first day in the key fixtures against Catalonia and Portugal. A great first half against Belgium was the highlight of the pool stages.
