This year the event that pits Area representative teams against each other will feature a new age group: the Under 14s.
This change has been introduced to align with the very successful Academy of England Korfball and also with the International Inter Area competition which is played at Under 14, that is, under the age of 14 on 1st September 2010.
There is a selection process for the Area teams, who over the next few weeks are likely to be having trials for their squads to compete in England Korfball's Inter-Area competition, which will be played on the weekend of 28th and 29th January 2011.
For the Inter-Area competition, teams competing at Under 14 will also play with a size 5 ball.
