England Korfball would like to announce that the recently releasd IKF Korfball (K5-IKF) will not be used in any England Korfball Competition in the 2010/11 season. This includes the HSKL & Playoffs, Champions Trophy, Inter Areas (Senior/Junior), Home Nations and EKA Cup.
For regional and local leagues which are outside the direct remit of England Korfball, advice should be sought from the appropriate league organisers.
The IKF announced the new ball on the 28th September 2010 (http://www.ikf.org/official-news/160/1570-international-korfball-federation-and-mikasa-introduce-new-korfball) after the 1st September 2010 when the current season started.

In just a few weeks the highest level of all England Korfball competitions will be taking place: the Home Nations Challenge for 2009/10. The top three Area teams face the challenge of the home nations sides who are all in preparation for the European Championships in October 2010, along with a representative side from Great Britain Students.

The one day tournament ended with Team London deserving gold medal winners, beating closest rivals Team Cambridgeshire who put put up a sterling fight in the final. Team South Midlands secured the final place at the Home Nations Challenge by the narrowest of margins.

Anna Jeanes, Chair of the English Korfball Association (EKA) has the pleasure of announcing that another volunteer will be joining the Executive Committee. Craig Gosling has been in discussions with Jeanes about the role of Competitions Officer for England Korfball, and has agreed to join the existing committee members.
