It has been a great season for London club Trojans, who saw their first team crowned Haven Sports Korfball League Champions last weekend, followed by their second team being crowned England Korfball Cup winners, this weekend.
30 teams started out at the beginning of the season, eager to do battle against opposition from across the length and breadth of the country. There were some surprise results along the way, and with the draw for each round being random, there was no knowing who would end up in the semi-finals and final.
Eventually, 4 teams won through. Nottingham had two Haven League teams to beat in the earlier rounds; first overcoming Mitcham by a single goal, followed by an impressive 18-11 win over Bec to secure a coveted semi-final place.

Anna Jeanes, Chair of the English Korfball Association (EKA) has the pleasure of announcing that another volunteer will be joining the Executive Committee. Craig Gosling has been in discussions with Jeanes about the role of Competitions Officer for England Korfball, and has agreed to join the existing committee members.

The last games of the EKA cup were played before Christmas - albeit with two postponements due to the snowy weather. England Korfball Cup organiser Laura Butcher arranged for EKA Chair Anna Jeanes to make a public draw for the Cup quarter finals at England Senior training yesterday, 16 January.
