Underage player form

Requirements:

  1. All young people under the age of 18, who wish to play in the EKA Senior Cup, EKA u23 Championships, EKA Senior Inter Area Competition, EKA County Championships, EKA National League, or any other EKA Senior Competition, must first gain permission to play using the official form below.
  2.  Clubs who seek permission for a young person to play for them in senior competitions, must confirm the name and contact details of their Child Protection Officer, and must confirm that their club is following the EKA Child Protection Policy.
  3. The Area Association which covers the Club for which the young player is a member, must also confirm the name and contact details of their Child Protection Officer, and must confirm that their area is following EKA Child Protection Policy.
  4. Permission to play will not be given to any person who is under the age of 14 on the day of the match they wish to play in.
  5. A person who is 14 years of age but not yet 18 years of age on the day of the match must meet the following criteria before being given permission to play:
  • The player must have demonstrated the ability, both mental and physical, to train and compete, as an equal, with adult players. This must be confirmed by an EKA recognised coach, who has seen the person play and train on a regular basis.
  • The player must have competed in at least 6 Area Association fixtures, which must be confirmed by the relevant Area Association. Match forms for those fixtures should be available if requested.
  • The parent or legal guardian of the player must confirm that they give permission for the player to participate in adult competitions, and that they understand that the player will be treated as an adult, in those competitions.

Permission to play may be revoked at any time.
