Social Media

One powerful way that you can contribute to the development and growth of korfball without getting out of your chair is the use of social media. Did you know that England Korfball has a facebook page, a twitter account and also a flickr account. Through the use of these and other social media, you can help to spread korfball through the internet, add credibility to our organisation and start to build a rich and powerful web of data which we can use to promote our sports.

Businesses and funding organisations will want to get involved with active, dynamic and engaged organisations. By exending your social media behaviour from your personal activities to your korfballing activities, you can grow our online presence.

 Facebook

England Korfball has a facebook page. The URL is http://www.facebook.com/EnglandKorfball. Just trying searching for England Korfball. This page has a selection of news items from the England Korfball website. It also has a selection of photos. We've put on a series of events of the last year and would like to encorporate facebook for managing our events in the future.

What would we like you to do? Tag yourself in photos. Like stuff, Write on our wall, answer the polls on the page. By doing these simple things, it gives us useful data to create a more compelling online experience and also allows us to understand what you are interested in a what you are not.

Take the companies tournament for example. Know anyone in those photos? Tag them and they will get a reminder that they played korfball and a link to some photos of them having fun. Are you in a photo playing? Tag yourself, you might find something interesting on the england website in the near future.

Do you like a photo? click the like button and we can find out who the best photographers are. Who is in the most liked photo of the year?

Do you have friends who don't know about korfball? One click and we've jumped over the first hurdle we face constantly. Now they have heard of korfball. This is an important metric in how we are demonstrating that the sport is moving forward. You can help.

England Korfball also has a twitter account which it tweets to during big events, such as the end of season finals and international competitions. Why not follow matches online and keep up to date with what is going on on the pitch as well as the score line. Just Search for EnglandKorfball or visit our homepage on http://twitter.com/EnglandKorfball. Our username is @EnglandKorfball.

Why not follow us. As well as keeping up with events we can demonstrate to potential sponsors that we have a big audience.

All of England Korfball's photos are on Flickr. Here is where we can start to give back to you as they are all available for public use. There is now a pretty big stock of photos. Need a photo for a flier or a banner? Building a website? We have photos for you.

You can help us too though. We want more photographers from around the country to cover more games. At the moment we cover Internationals and most National League games, because the photographers who contribute their work just happen to be connected to top level clubs. Are you a good photographer. Can you take photos like the ones on the England site. Get in contact and we will let you know how to load them to our flickr account.
