Insurance Cover and Recharges 2011/12

On behalf of the British Korfball Association, the English Korfball Association (EKA) has renewed the Civil Liability Insurance policies for 2011/12. Under the Rules & Constitution all Clubs and Areas must hold insurance cover; this is an absolute requirement. No club having provided the requisite notice as set out below, all clubs must pay the insurance recharges set out below.

Notice of alternative arrangements:


According to the EKA Rules & Constitution (3.8):
All Area Associations and Member Clubs must possess suitable Civil Liability Insurance at all times. The National Executive Committee, or Management Committee, of the BKA shall determine what is suitable and any Member of the EKA not wishing to participate in the BKA’s master cover must produce evidence that its cover meets, or exceeds, that of the BKA’s cover. All Members of the EKA shall be eligible for cover provided by the BKA but a Member of the EKA must inform the National Executive Committee of the BKA by 31st July each year if it has obtained, or is seeking, alternate cover otherwise it will be included within the BKA master cover. Any Club or Area that wishes to make their own arrangements must produce evidence that they hold cover that is at least equivalent to that provided under the policy arranged by the BKA/EKA.

The Insurance charges for 2011/12 are:-
Clubs and Area Associations              £150.00
Clubs with only one registered team    £90.00

Payment
Clubs are required to affiliate to the EKA through fixtureslive.com; the affiliation process includes a combined payment for Affiliation, Registration and Insurance. Payments should be made to the English Korfball Association and sent (with an email address so that the cover note may be sent electronically) to:
