Between Christmas and New Year the TIME for Korfball Challenge 2009 will take place in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Between 27th and 30th December 2009 all the necessary elements of a great international tournament will come together.

England Youth in training in December
The Senior event features the top 3 Lotto Korfbal League teams from 2008/09 (DOS'46 / Engeldot, Koog Zaandijk and Fortuna / MHIR) with the Belgium and Chinese Taipei national teams also in the line-up. A line-up which of course is not complete without the Tulips, a team featuring some incredible Dutch korfball players.
Alongside the Senior event is the Youth Challenge; England U16 and U19 teams will be competing in this high level and high profile event, putting on the best possible display on behalf of England Korfball.
The U16s travel out on Boxing Day and will be competing over 2 days on 27th and 28th December 2009; the U19s follow in their footsteps and travel out on 28th December to take centre stage on the 29th & 30th.
England will face 5 regional teams from the Netherlands, plus the National teams from Germany and Belgium in what is one of the toughest, but also one of the most enjoyable, events in the korfball calendar. This year England will be aiming high as players who are at the top end of the age groups return to showcase their talent one last time.
England U19s feature many experienced youth internationals who also regularly play in the Haven Sports Korfball League, the highest league in England. Boosting the home-grown talent will be some experience from the Netherlands: Natasha Dawson has recently returned to England after completing a Dutch season, England's Joe Bedford is currently playing at TOP and Hanna Congleton from De Neurven will play in an England shirt for the first time.
All of England Korfball wish the players, Coaches and Management teams a successful tournament, and recognise the achievement of these players in representing England on the international stage.
